Public health graduate to study maternal health as Rotary Scholar in Ghana

After taking courses in community psychology and completing a hospital internship in Ghana, Emily Saathoff decided to pursue public health as a career. Next, she's headed back to the University of Ghana to pursue a Master of Public Health in Population, Family and Reproductive Health as a Rotary Scholar.

During her experience in Ghana, she got to learn more about mental health in West Africa and about the differences and disparities among different health care systems around the world. Through her master's program, she aims to provide more access to essential services in disadvantaged areas.
