Alumna's passion for environment leads to career at EPA

2017 South Carolina Honors College graduate Hali Kerr turned her passion for the environment into a career with the Environmental Protection Agency.

Her internships during her time as a student solidified her desire for a career in environmental policy. She had two internships at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, where she worked with marine policy and for the Chief of Staff.

As an EPA attorney, Kerr ensures that the agency is following laws and regulations properly.

“At the EPA, I am working on an area that is fulfilling and that I have always been passionate about” Kerr says. “It is much easier to work hard and stay motivated now because I am working toward something I care so much about.”
