Volunteer Spotlight: Eureka Robertson

“UofSC is a large university with many programs, groups, options and networking opportunities for any student, graduate or member of the South Carolina community to find an individual niche; a place to call home.”

Eureka Robertson is a proud two-time alumna of the University of South Carolina, where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1988 and a master’s degree in social work in 1994. Eureka is currently an IT Healthcare Manager at Prisma Health Information Technology.

During Eureka’s time at UofSC, she was actively involved in the Golden Key Honor Society, and Theta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. where she served as advisor from 2014-2017.

Now as an alumna, Eureka is motivated to serve due to her tenure as a graduate advisor and her daughter’s desire to attend the university, thanks in part to the legacy scholarship she received from the UofSC Alumni Association.

“I wanted a more active role with understanding the engagement between the alumni and students” Eureka said. “We are competitive, respected for our athletics, and have nationally ranked colleges. Tenured professors and successful alumni have made us a force to be reckoned with.”

Eureka is a life member of the Alumni Association and an active Richard T. Greener Scholarship donor. Eureka is the 2019-2020 Chair of the Black Alumni Council.
